Demonstration Activities with CNSAS in the Heart of the Dolomites

Sabrobotix recently conducted demonstration activities together with the Corpo Nazionale Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico (CNSAS) at Rifugio Gardeccia, located in the heart of the Dolomites.

The demonstrations provided an opportunity to showcase the operational capabilities of the Lizard 1000 UAV platform within a complex alpine environment, where reliability, flight stability, and rapid deployment are essential requirements for mission success.

Operational Testing in Alpine Terrain

Mountain environments represent one of the most challenging scenarios for unmanned aerial systems. Rapid weather changes, steep terrain, and complex logistics require aerial platforms capable of maintaining stable performance while supporting mission-critical operations.

The demonstrations focused on assessing the suitability of the Lizard 1000 for operations in environments where endurance, reliability, and rapid deployment are essential requirements.

The Lizard 1000 was specifically developed to support demanding missions through a combination of endurance, modularity, and operational flexibility. During the activities, the platform demonstrated stable flight characteristics and efficient deployment procedures under realistic field conditions.

Mission Adaptability

Its modular architecture enables rapid configuration for different operational requirements, allowing operators to adapt payloads and mission profiles according to specific objectives.

Operational Reliability

The demonstrations confirmed the platform's ability to operate efficiently in challenging terrain while maintaining stable flight performance and mission effectiveness.

Looking Ahead

The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration between technology developers and rescue organizations in evaluating next-generation UAV capabilities for real-world environments.

Sabrobotix would like to thank the personnel of the Corpo Nazionale Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico and the Provincia Autonoma di Trento for their support and collaboration during the demonstration activities.
